Orlane: Dual Effect Compact Cake Foundation (Wet or Dry)

With DUAL EFFECT COMPACT CAKE FOUNDATION, Romualdo Priore introduces a new kind of makeup to the Orlane repertoire.  A type of foundation used in Asian countries for its lasting qualities and comfort.

An avant-garde formula with a super-micronised texture adapted from a pharmaceutical industry process that makes it possible to reduce each ingredient to 10 times less than its original size. 

High quality talc from a quarry in southeast China and a precise proportion of mica gives it an extremely creamy texture.  The silicone coating the wheat starch provides the "dual effect": wet application with a sponge, or dry application like a powder.  Micronised ferrous oxides and titanium oxide form a natural barrier against UVA rays, without affecting transparency and ease of application.  (Talc and wheat starch form their own natural barrier against UVA rays.)

With its supple consistency, this product can be used in two ways.

• Dry, for a more powdery, lighter effect.
  • Take up a small amount of the foundation with the dry sponge and apply evenly over the face.
• Wet, for a mattifying foundation effect.
  • Wet the sponge, squeeze out excess moisture and apply the foundation, working from the centre of the face and from hairline to jawline.

In addition, the two-sided sponge offers a choice of two types of application: the soft, smooth side for light coverage, the porous side for a more homogeneous application.
